Abdominal Gastro Procedures

Abdominal Gastro Procedures are specialized procedures that deal with various medical conditions and diseases of the abdominal region. This includes removal of the gall bladder, or treating various conditions such as colon cancer and inflammatory diseases of the intestine.

Colonoscopy

Laparoscopy

AKA Diagnostic laparoscopy, this is a keyhole surgery that is performed on the belly / abdominal area. It is recommended in case of those who are prone to heavy periods, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, female infertility problems, ectopic pregnancies and even for the removal of tumors or cysts.

EGD – Esophagogastroduode

The doctor may recommend EGD to examine the areas like the stomach or upper duodenum. EGD is also recommended to examine the inner lining of the swallowing tube. In this procedure, an endoscope is used during the time of the examination to detect any inflammation or problems in these regions.

Gall Bladder Removal

AKA Cholecystectomy, this is a surgical procedure which is done for the removal and treatment of bladder stones and even the gallbladder. In some cases, the doctor may opt to go with a less invasive method like the laparoscope instead of the open method. This removal procedure is used as a last resort when all other treatments have failed.
